Brasilien 12. September 2011 Grußmarken aus der Provinz Piaui Michel Nr. Kleinbogen 3917 - 3928 Marke Nr. 3919 Ein Kleinbogen mit 12 Marken. Die Marke in Position c zeigt die Metallbrücke John Luis Ferreira, eine Eisenbahnbrücke. Es war die erste Brücke, die über den Fluß Parnaiba in der Provinz Piaui gebaut wurde und sie wurde am 2. Dezember 1939 eingeweiht, siebzehn Jahre nachdem Jahre nach Baubeginn und verbindet Teresina mit Timon. Sie wurde von dem deutschen Ingenieur Franz Germano entworfen und verbrauchte bei der Konstruktion 702 Tonnen Eisen. Durch die Fertigstellung wurde die Eisenbahnlinie St. Louis - Teresina möglich, welche die Hauptstädte von Piaui und Maranho verbindet. Sie wird ebenfalls von der Metro Timon - Teresina benutzt.
